I graduated from Florala High School in 2005. I attended LBWCC for two years and then got my Bachelor's in English Language Arts from Troy University. My husband, Jody, and I live in Florala, Alabama with our two sons. We attend Florala First Assembly of God and Lockhart Baptist Church. I enjoy cooking, playing the piano, gardening, quilting, and spending time with my family. I praise God every day for His blessings in my life.

Family and Consumer Science classes are an important part of preparing students for the future. Over the course of their lives, each of our students will fill a large variety of roles. The goal for FCS classes is to prepare students to be successful in whatever future roles they may fill: employee, business owner, leader, community member, friend, family member, college student, consumer, husband/wife, parent, and many more. Students enter these classes thinking they will be taught to cook and sew. While these are skills that we cover, they are only a small part of what FCS classes teach. These classes instruct students on how to find, acquire, and keep a job. They assist students with improving their relationships with those around them. While practicing these and many other necessary life skills, students are preparing to become successful, contributing members of society.
